Identification
I will need to see proof of identity for each person who is to sign a document.
Usually this will be a current valid passport or other acceptable photo ID. I will also need to see proof of home address such as a recent utility or council tax bill or bank statement.
Please bring the originals to our meeting from which I will then take and retain copies for my records.
If signing a document in the capacity as a director or on behalf of the company, I will need to see further evidence of the authority to sign on behalf of the company. In some circumstances this may require, for example, a board resolution to grant a director specific authority it is helpful to know in advance of the meeting if the signing is in the capacity as a director or on behalf of a company.
